Eco Exotics

Our Eco Exotic floors have a top layer of reconstituted hardwood which is then laminated onto a fast growing and renewable multi-plywood base for stability.

The boards are 14mm in total thickness, with a 2.5mm wear layer of reconstituted hardwood. Each board is 189mm wide and 2440mm long. All boards are tongue and grooved on ends and sides.

The boards are pre-finished with an UV cured Aluminium Oxide, scratch resistant coating system in low–medium gloss levels.

The timber is reconstituted to convert medium value hardwood timber into exotic species. The look is achieved by shaving and dying different hardwood timbers then layering and pressing the various colours into large timber blocks. The blocks can then be cut and laminated onto the multi-plywood base. Using reconstituted timber means that the look of these species can be enjoyed without the negative environmental impact associated with harvesting the timbers.

Eco Exotic can be used as flooring, made into cabinetry or furniture or used to create striking wall panels, laid either horizontally or vertically.

Timber is a natural product. Colours will vary from printed versions and actual boards will vary across every floor. It is this variation that gives timber it’s natural beauty and appeal.

Colours available (shown at right top to bottom) include Brown Ebony, White Zebra, Black & White Burl, Tan Zebra and Grey Ebony.
